San Luis Obispo and Kern County Electrical Reconductoring
Terra Verde provided environmental compliance management, biological, and botanical services for an electrical transmission reconductoring project spanning from the Carrizo Plain in San Luis Obispo County to Buttonwillow in Kern County.
This multi-year project included regular nesting bird surveys, including burrowing owl, golden eagle, and Swainson’s hawk surveys, San Joaquin kit fox, giant kangaroo rat, and blunt-nosed leopard lizard surveys and monitoring, rare plant surveys, and habitat restoration including annual monitoring. Numerous environmental trainings and tailboards were conducted for the project.
With support from our partners at Suntoucher Software, we also assisted with the development of a custom web-based environmental compliance reporting system that is now used extensively by our client and their consultants.
