Brian Dugas

Principal Biologist

Brian Dugas joined Terra Verde as a Principal Biologist in 2011 and has 25 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry as an environmental specialist with emphasis in regulatory agency permitting, biological resources impact analysis, and environmental compliance. His experience includes providing compliance oversight on public infrastructure improvement projects and managing the overall permitting process for coastal facility decommissioning and development projects. He has a passion for coastal stream restoration and extensive experience working with sensitive species on the Central Coast particularly California red-legged frog and steelhead trout. Brian regularly oversees complex regulatory permitting and restoration projects for Terra Verde’s clients.

Brian holds a M.S. degree in General Agriculture with emphasis in Fisheries and Wildlife Management and a B.S. degree in Natural Resources Management from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. He is also a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (#6727).
